Drinks with Kate – Going Virtual – 2nd edition

Friday 19 June 2020, 12:30-1:30 pm

Recent social distancing guidelines prevent us from hosting our networking event Drinks with Kate events in person. We see this as a great opportunity to keep expanding its reach to interstate and overseas participants.
Our focus for Drinks with Kate – Going Virtual is on delivering practical insights to participants via presentations from Katestone, Weather Intelligence and allied industry experts, and group participation. Click here to receive an invitation to our next event.

The overall theme of this second edition was: Bouncing Back from COVID-19. How can we build a “better normal”? As always, we focused on the good stories and on ideas that may help us all go through these times.
We had 2 Q&A-tyle presentations moderated by our Managing Director, Christine Killip:

  • Tasman Graham, Senior Vice-President for Energy Transition & Sustainability of Advisian, analysing the effects of the pandemic on the energy transition movement in Australia.
Presentation title: COVID-19: a catalyst or an obstacle to the energy transition movement in Australia?
  • Kirsten Armstrong, Director of the Three Rivers Consultancy, speaking about the insurance market post-COVID-19
Presentation title: Post-COVID-19 Premiums – what to expect from the “new normal”?

This event was definitely insightful and very engaging as we had several questions from the audience interested in renewable energy and the post-COVID-19 effects in the insurance market.
